Members and guests are encouraged to use our auction lotting form to facilitate sales of their material. Our auction committee reserves the right to reject lots that are not properly prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
We occasionally have guest speakers to discuss their philatelic specialties, or schedule special presentations such as slide shows, "Show & Tell" programs, book nights, debates, etc. If you'd like to give a presentation, please contact the chair of the program committee, Vice President Tom Balabanov. Throughout the year, we enjoy about 20 Swap & Shop Socials, on the last Wednesday and the first Wednesday of each month. We offer refreshments (please keep liquids away from stamps!) and a chance to peruse circuit books from the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada. Dealer members often bring stamps and covers to sell and trade, and there's always lots of philatelic chatter. Our club auctions, held monthly, are open to all members and guests; the club charges a 10% commission on the hammer price of each lot sold. Donation lots, which don't have to be philatelic, are welcomed. Sellers should submit no more than six lots, and any number of donation lots. Auction lots should be thoroughly described, with the minimum acceptable bid indicated. The auction committee reserves the right to reject any lot offered for auction.
